Workshop in conjunction with ECCV 2018
September 14th 2018, Munich
Do you use optical flow for your research often as a black box? What is a good criterion for choosing a flow method? Do you work on optical flow and would like to see results beyond flow benchmarks, which are more integrated with applications? Do you think that flow should be combined in a more principled way with related problems? Is optical flow necessary? What makes a good flow field? And how does this depend on the downstream applications?
This workshop aims to answer these questions. To map the current terrain of optical flow estimation, we invite you to take a survey asking about your experiences using optical flow. We have a high-profile list of speakers working in optical flow estimation, or using optical flow in downstream applications. Furthermore, we invite the community to submit papers (deadline extended to July 30th) describing their experience with optical flow in downstream applications and proposing novel methods to improve optical flow where it counts.
